MUSIC
I've been rotating a few bands and artists the last couple of weeks...
- Leeland "Love is On the Move" (Comes out in August. Got an advance. I love this band. They are young, creative, and kind of go their own direction when it comes to their songwriting and style.)
- Needtobreathe "The Outsiders" (Comes out in August.) If you've heard "Washed By The Water", "Streets of Gold", or "Lay 'Em Down", and you like those songs...you'll like the new album. It truly gets better after each listen.
- Glory Revealed 1 & 2. Mac Powell from Third Day pulls together some big names and comes up with some real 'rootsy' songs. I can see this stuff being played on the back porch after dinner when the sun's going down.
- Derek Webb "Stockholm Syndrome". Oh boy, this one will rattle some cages. Just got this one late last night and after a first listen, its Derek Webb alright..controversial, pushes the envelope, and makes you think.

I'm still going through Stockholm Syndrome, and find it pretty amazing how this guy can go to the extreme music genre shifts with ease. I really hope he comes close to us on tour in the fall.
I want to hear "Stockholm Syndrome". I love music that rattles cages...especially the cages of those in the church.
